| Annotation |
Washington, D.C., detective Cassandra Mansfield is assigned a serial murder case in which the victims were killed using ancient death rituals. The thematic crimes are reminiscent of those of convicted murderer Neville Ramsey. Ramsey killed himself six months earlier, but one victim was a patient of Ramsey's neurosurgeon-brother who was working on the mind-brain frontier: the edge. Strong language, violence, and some explicit descriptions of sex.
